The Print
A limited edition series of 290 prints of The Warren Church will be available to the public as a funding campain to maintain our beautiful church and Parish Hall. A donation campaign of $150, or more, will entitle the donor to a free signed and numbered print with certificate of authenticity. Shipped rolled in a tube. The artist, Robert Cunningham, was born in Kansas. Bob attended the University of Kansas, Kansas City Art Institute and Art Students League in New York, studying with Kuniyoski, Bosa and Corbino.
His numerous awards of distinction include seven medals from Society of Illustrators; Gold Medals in 1966, 1967, 1978 and 1980, Silver Medals in 1983, 1985 and 1987. Excellence in his field has also won him the 1983 Hamilton King Award and the Mohawk Graphics Collection in 1985.
As the sole designer of the 1980 Summer and Winter Olympic Stamps for the Postal Service, Bob's work is collected worldwide. An abbreviated lists of clients include ABC, AT&T, Alcoa, Alfa Romeo, American Airlines, American Express, Chevrolet, Dupont, Exxon, General Electric, IBM, Manufactures Hanover Trust, Metropolitan Opera, Mead Paper, Mobil, Monsanto, NBC, New York Times, Panasonic, Sports Illustrated and the United States Government. Robert was inducted into the Society of Illustrators' Hall of Fame, in 1998. He is continuing his talents in heaven as of 02/27/2009 and we know he is looking down and approving of the recent paint job that our meeting house has been given both inside and out.
