The Warren
Congregational Church will offer the Alpha course on Wednesday evenings starting January 7th, 2009.
Alpha is a 10 week course
in basic Christianity. Each class session consists of a video presentation followed by informal discussion. Although Alpha is often
billed as an “introduction to the Christian faith,” it offers plenty of food for thought for both long-time churchgoers and those
who have had no exposure to Christianity. Topics addressed in the course include; What is the Bible and can we trust it? Who is Jesus?
Does prayer work? Who is the Holy Spirit? Does God perform miracles? What is the point of attending church? The course is open to
all regardless of religious background and skeptics are welcome.
